Last time I had one of these, I sung Sakura Sakura by 'Rin (a beautiful song from a band who combines traditional and modern Japanese music seamlessly). So, I decided not to sing again this time.
I woke up today with an idea. Maybe I could read a segment from よつばと (Yotsubato), my favourite manga. I own one volume of it in Japanese, and it is relatively simple, as it is aimed at a younger audience.
As for the test itself, I need to introduce what I am doing in Japanese for 30 seconds, and then spend the remaining time (two minutes total) doing my performance. That should be easy enough I think.
The one thing that really scares me is the Q and A session at the end with my teacher. I get so nervous in speaking tests. It is very rare for me to actually pass one, because as soon as I see the teacher, no matter how hard I practiced and studied, Japanese just seems to fall out of my head so that I cannot remember anything. Luckily the teachers tend to take this sort of thing into consideration (and luckily the Q and A is only worth a small amount of the overall assignment).
Wish me luck!
