A few days ago I decided to give melon ramune a try. It was very good. I think that the sweetness of the melon flavouring balanced really well with the more sour taste of the lemon in the ramune!
Alas, I made a pretty big mess while opening the bottle, but as the saying goes, there is no use crying over spilled ramune!
I have been married for a little over a month now. I love being a wife! I only hope that my husband loves being a husband too : ) I am still getting used to my new name, but I am slowly getting there!
There have been a few bad things too though... My best friend's father died last Wednesday. It has been very hard for him, and I cannot imagine what he must be feeling.
I myself nearly lost my father too. His kidneys nearly shut down. So he now has to see a specialist, take new medication, and can never drink again... I hope that he will be OK...
And, my land lord is selling our apartment. We are hoping that we can remain here, and that the rent won't go up too much... Annoyingly we have to deal with open houses every weekend until it sells...
But, I have officially booked a hotel for our trip to Japan in January! Pretty cheap too. For two weeks, for both my husband and myself, it is only costing AUD$1200!!! For a pretty nice hotel too. Very close to Tokyo Disneyland (which is very exciting for me), and conveniently located for travelling around Tokyo. Also, there are English speaking staff working there. I know that might defeat some of the purpose of going to another country, that speaks another language, but I am already going to need to be able to travel around and shop and dine using a different language. So, I would like a chance to relax a little bit : ) Does that make sense?
So, now all that is really left is the passports. I first need to have my photo ID updated with my new name, and then I can sort out my passport.
I am very excited!!!
By the way, the website that I used to book our hotel is called Booking.com. Please check it out if you are travelling. It can locate hotels in many countries for you!!!
I am a Japanese Studies student, and I am very much enjoying the experience of learning about another culture and language. I would like to share my experiences with you : )
